About Us: We are a Portland-based property management firm that provides full-service management and leasing for single-family, condo, and multifamily properties from 2 to 30 units in the central Portland metropolitan area. We are rapidly growing and are excited to expand our team!
Fully Remote Role: This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. M-F, 8AM - 5PM, fully remote.
Mission: The primary role of the Assistant Leasing Manager (ALM) will be the management of Grid’s residential leasing. As the team receives notices to vacate from residential tenants, the ALM will be responsible for repricing the units, notifying property owners, and launching marketing to our various digital marketing platforms. The ALM will manage calls from prospective tenants, manage incoming applications, and communicate status updates to property owners. Finally, the ALM will assist in managing rent increases, renewals, and other lease modifications. In addition, the ALM will assist the Leasing Manager in listing and leasing commercial units, lead generation, and lead management, and the management of showing contractors at various in and out-of-state properties. Small one-off projects may involve working to adapt new technologies to existing systems to help them run more efficiently or helping the Property Managers with the occasional project.
Direct Reports: The ALM will have a few resources that will be under their management (a contractor Leasing Agent), who performs property showings and other miscellaneous tasks at properties as well as 1-2 virtual assistants who complete administrative items for the ALM.
Ideal Fit: Our ideal candidate will fit a similar profile to the other excellent candidates you’ve placed with Grid (Rachel and Lauren). Bright, friendly, highly organized, and extremely teamwork-focused. The ALM will spend a lot of time emailing and a bit of time on the phone with prospective tenants and with property owners, so clear, friendly, communication is a must…but in verbal and written form. High emphasis on customer service. An equally important requirement is someone who remains effective under stress, who is proactive and excited to take on new and dynamic tasks and responsibilities. A background in customer service is preferable. No prior property management experience is required.
Position Requirements: Must be proficient using Dropbox, Zoom, Google Drive, and the full Microsoft Suite
