Green Lotus Hemp, a Colorado and Texas based premium hemp oil brand, is seeking a highly motivated, experienced CPG Brand/Product Manager that is looking to establish themselves at the ground level of a scaling company in the Hemp industry. The Green Lotus CPG Brand/Product Manager is someone with exceptional product development life cycle knowledge and great people skills who can make informed decisions and help deliver strong business performance by accelerating growth in retail and consumer channels. Success in this role requires someone who thrives in a CPG environment, can develop product solutions, drive brand growth, and be perceived as a credible partner in a constantly changing, flexible, and fun environment. Responsibilities will include defining, implementing, and executing the annual plan across brands, enabling the product development process, actively overseeing brand P&Ls, and driving alignment across the organization. The CPG Brand/Product Manager will be a creative thinker and outstanding communicator; empowered to be a people leader, champion of brand plans, priorities, and strategies in support of growth initiatives.
Grow and cultivate strong internal and external partnerships to support category and brand growth.
Build and drive the brand retail strategy and overall positioning for in-store merchandising, media planning, customer research, PR, packaging, promotions, and all other efforts related to the growth of the brand SKUs.
Maximize profitability of brand SKUs; managing margin performance and adjustments.
Partner with internal manufacturing and/or our CMO network to fulfill inventory purchase orders derived from inventory planning.
Coordinate product management and/or cost reduction projects with internal and external resources to achieve results. (product development, production planning, sales, market research, consultants and advertising agencies)
Take ownership in competitive research and data analysis to develop, monitor, and report on KPIs, and enable fact-based decisions and recommendations.
Assist in developing channel strategy and distribution priorities and plans. Work with sales and other cross functional teams to extend the availability of our brands.
Maintain effective communication across the organization while managing a heavy workload and competing priorities.
Participate in documentation efforts and training workshops to increase office and team performance.
Attend offsite trade shows and business meetings in support of sales, marketing, production, and operations.
Bachelor’s in business management, marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
Must have 4+ years of proven work experience, with a CPG company, as a Brand Manager, Product Development Manager, Product Manager, Project Manager or similar role.
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key decision makers at all levels of an organization, including Executive and C-level.
Operating experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM, HubSpot)
Strong experience working within ERP or similar software.
Proficient in Microsoft suite, especially Excel.
Experience delivering consultative client-focused solutions to customer needs.
Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
Ability to effectively translate information, whether technical or non-technical, to all stakeholders.
