The Maintenance Repair Technician installs, repairs, and maintains the hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems of assigned equipment. This position performs diagnostic troubleshooting and repair assignments based on equipment performance. You'll inspect, isolate, and perform accurate troubleshooting techniques to diagnose malfunctions and operational difficulties involving the equipment control systems. This role will primarily be repairing fork trucks/lifts.
What You'll Do:
• Repair and maintain, under the direction of the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, the electrical system of the assigned equipment by applying sophisticated technical knowledge of AC/DC circuits/systems and equipment hydraulic and pneumatic systems (including hydraulic flow paths, component functions, and operation interfaces).
• Determine need for and effectively monitor equipment performance using proven diagnostic methods and equipment such as PLC feedback, operator interface screens, and vibration and oil analysis.
• Work from electrical schematics, engineering specifications, and manufacturers' drawings to understand and perform cause and effect analysis of equipment performance.
• Coordinate machine repairs with Maintenance Repairers.
• Train and mentor maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
• Establish and update equipment component change-out frequencies, Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), and delay corrective actions.
• Audit and schedule repairs on an ongoing basis to ensure proper allocation of resources and materials.
• Perform research to identify better components and reliable vendors.
• Complete documentation and maintain records such as work orders, PMIs, inspection logs, etc. in an accurate, organized, and timely manner.
• Use delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities.
• Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including Employee Involvement activities.

• Understand and use shop math, fairly complicated drawings and formulas, and precision measuring instruments
• Considerable judgment and creativity to plan, layout, and perform difficult work with concentrated mental and visual attention
• Ability to lift to up to 40 lbs and twist, bend, and stand during shift
• Willing to work overtime as assigned
• Personal attendance record in compliance with company guidelines
• Willing and able to wear all required PPE (safety goggles, hearing protections, steel-toe non-slip safety shoes, and gloves as needed)
