JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Director of Financial Empowerment HUB
Reports to: VP, Crisis Intervention Services
FLSA: Exempt
Job Responsibilities:
- Outreach and recruitment of other Community Action Agencies (CAAs) to enroll their clients in the Financial Empowerment HUB
- Develop comprehensive marketing and outreach strategy both for CAAs and potential clients who are unaffiliated
- Liaison to 1st Bergen Federal Credit Union on behalf of HUB clients
- Liaison to Balance, financial literacy partner
- Monitor overall client progress toward goals; determine “successful completion” bonuses
- In person and virtual marketing and financial literacy workshops and presentations
- Supervise Private Banker (s)
- Work collaboratively with GBCA Marketing, Communications, Data Reporting & Analysis to track program success
- Serve as Private Banker to some clients
- Goal setting
- Monitor progress toward goals in both Balance curriculum and financial goals in member accounts
- Direct Client Banking Applications
- Instruct and or complete HUB participants
- Financial institution membership form (s)
- Account openings (checking, savings, CDs, etc.
- Loan applications
- Knowledgeable of credit union core banking system
- Instruct and or complete HUB participants
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with multi-cultural populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with a variety of computer software programs
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
- Ethical Practice
Required Education and Experience:
- 5 to 7 years program development or program management experience
- BA; MA preferred
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position has supervisory responsibilities to Private Banker
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are 5 days /35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings and Saturday work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is statewide weekly during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
