Job Title: VP or Director of Information Technology (IT) Location: Main Branch Status: Full-Time (Exempt) Reports to: President/CEO Position Purpose Responsible for organizing, planning, and directing, all of the Credit Union's electronic functions, including systems and programming, computer operations, ATMs, phone operations, and related vendor relationships. Establishes, implements, and administers IT divisional policies and procedures. Acts as senior manager over all hardware, software, and equipment purchases and maintenance.
Responsible for future technological innovations and the development and implementation of the Credit Union's IT annual plan. Responsible for disaster recovery planning and mitigation strategies. Continually monitors technical and processing priorities and methods.
Trains, directs, and supervises department personnel. Essential Duties, Skills & Abilities * Exemplifies Granite Credit Union Core Values and Expectations. * Leads the strategy and direction of the Credit Union's information technology systems and processes. * Stays current with technology trends and systems that promote outstanding experiences for employees and members. * Develops and implements IT-related plans, policies, and goals which further Credit Union strategic objectives. * Proven ability to lead a team in completing projects and achieving goals. * Liaison between the Credit Union and key IT vendors. * Mentor and coach employees to achieve goals and develop skills to contribute to their success and the success of the credit union. * Establish procedures and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and credit union policy. * Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of security procedures and policies that protect the credit union and its members. * Ability to develop, train and engage employees. * Manages and oversees Department expenses. Pursues cost-saving measures. Develops annual information technology budget. * Professionally express oneself through written and oral communication. * Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, internal managers, Board of Directors, and Supervisory Committee members. * Responsible to report in Board meetings quarterly on IT audits, security testing, and potential information system risks. * Participates in the selection and hiring of employees. * Approves all paid leave, vacation leave, overtime, and time records employees. * Attend meetings as required. Experience Ten years of experience in information services and operations, preferably in a financial institution. Five years of supervisory experience. Education Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience. Master's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
