Hours and Schedule:

  • Starting out as a Contract position, 5 days per week, from 8:00-5:30
  • Position has potential of becoming a permanent position as a Full-Time role, for the right person

Responsibilities and Duties:
The Security Analyst plays a vital role in keeping sensitive information secure. Will work inter-departmentally to identify and correct flaws in the company's security systems, solutions, and programs while recommending specific measures that can improve the company's overall security posture. In addition, the role will monitor our computer networks for security issues, using ticketing system to document work activities, install security software, and document any security issues or breaches you find in addition to escalation activities. The security analyst is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the company's digital assets are protected from unauthorized access. This will include analytical research of collected metrics and data to filter out suspicious activity and mitigating risks before breaches occur. Looking for independent and responsible analyst for generating reports that IT administrators and business managers will evaluate to determine the efficacy of the security policies in place.

  • Monitor computer networks for security issues by performing analysis and enhancing current security tools including:
  • Tripwire Enterprise and Whilelisting Profiler (Custom Coding)
  • MacAfee enterprise manager
  • Trendmicro Officescan/APEX1
  • Splunk
  • Netmotion VPN
  • Tenable Security Center,
  • Extrahop
  • Monitoring security access
  • Performing security audits (NERC CIP, PCI, PII, HIPAA)
  • Continuously updating the company's incident response and disaster recovery plans
  • Install and upgrade security measures and operate software
  • Design, analyze and implement efficient IT security systems
  • Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents and assist in identifying root cause
  • Work with security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
  • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
  • Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management
  • Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Advance Technical, IT Security Certifications (Security+, Network+, CCNA, MCSE, CISSP, CEH or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years IT experience with 3 years of experience in cyber security related activities and controls preferred
  • Perimeter network security: firewall, IDS/ IPS, WAF, DDoS mitigation, etc
  • Data security: encryption, key management, data masking, etc
  • Privileged access management: password vaulting, session management, access review, etc
  • Application & Integration security: Secure SDLC, static/ dynamic testing, web service/ API security, etc
  • Logging/ monitoring, SIEM integration and Incident Response
  • Cloud, Mobile & Digital security
  • Industrial control security (ICS)
  • Strong Microsoft skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project and Visio
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail with demonstrated problem solving skills and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Quickly grasp new ideas and concepts
  • Work well within a team and assist others with their assignments
