Professional Groomer

Grafton Animal Hospital is seeking a professional groomer to join our well-established veterinary hospital. We have been serving the Hampton Roads area for more than 25 years.
Your job duties will include:
- Consulting with clients as to their grooming expectations
- Bathing, drying, brushing, de-matting, nail trimming, clipping and scissoring as needed
- Keeping detailed notes of grooming work for each pet
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments safely
- Notifying veterinary personnel of any health concerns while grooming
- Working with receptionist team for appointment scheduling
- Working with current groomer and providing assistance as needed
- Following hospital protocols
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
- Prior grooming/grooming assistance experience with dogs and cats.
- Knowledge of basic dog and cat care.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more.
