GraceKennedy Foods (USA) LLC – DBA La Fe is a subsidiary of GraceKennedy Ltd. We are a full-service distributor of a range of over 1,400 products in the categories of grocery, frozen, dairy and beverages. We represent some of the top brands of food products from the Caribbean, Central America, South America and Europe.

With operations located in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey; Miami, Florida and Atlanta, GA serving the Eastern United States, our solid network of sub-distributors and wholesalers augment our direct to retail operation, allowing coverage to the mid-western states and the West Coast.

GraceKennedy Foods is responsible for distributing the La fe brand, Grace brand, Grace owned brands, and principal brands.

Purpose of Job

The Marketing Manager (MM) is responsible for the development, delivery and execution of the brand(s)’ marketing strategies collaborating with the in-market’s leadership and sales teams to meet set business objectives related to the US Market. These brands(s) include all Grace, Grace-owned and 3rd-Party brands. The MM is an instrumental role within the marketing organization and serves as the lead executioner of all consumer, brand positioning and trade activities, online and offline related to this market. The MM’s goal is to grow the brand(s) consumer and shopper base by exceeding their expectation at all brand touchpoints.

 

key outputs/deliverables

1.       Planning, Management and Execution

  • Key role in the development of annual marketing strategies and plans to drive consumer / shopper take-up of the available products and services for the assigned brand(s).
  • ·Leads the creation of detailed execution plans for all activities to deliver the approved marketing strategy including Experiential, Advertising, Content, Digital and Shopper Marketing.
  • Optimizes each touchpoint impacting new and existing consumers, coming directly from approved marketing plans through efficient management of Budgets, Layouts, Logistics, Setup, etc.
  • Leverages relevant offline, online, organic and paid acquisition channels through content creation and curation, digital and traditional media campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, etc. to reach, activate, convert and engage new and existing consumers to ultimately create brand advocates.
  • Coordinates all internal and external stakeholders as a virtual project team for the delivery of all marketing activities including 3rd-party execution agencies/teams.
  • Leads the engagement of the Sales Leadership teams to develop and deliver the Annual Commercial Strategies and Quarterly Cycle Plans.
  • Creates and enhances strategic relationships and partners with key industry players, influencers, agencies, and vendors.

 

2.       Measurement, Evaluation and Reporting

  • Ensures activity measurement and evaluation are linked to brand and product objectives as part of the execution plan and leads the reporting of activity results.
  • Analyses the impact of each marketing activity and proposes creative new improvements with “learnings” from previous and similar activities.

 

3.       Management of Marketing and Promotions Operations

  • Leads Supplier/Partner Management ensuring the proper use of supplier services and timely payment for these services according to standards and payment terms set
  • Manages the expense of overall marketing budgets for the business and ensures all marketing activity budgets are being tracked and reported on according to agreed marketing plan.
  • Leads marketing asset management ensuring the promotional and branded items are accounted for and useable
  • Accountable for Customer Care Management operations

 Performance Criteria

  • Achieve Market’s Annual Brand / Category Objectives (Profitability, Product Innovation, etc.)
  • Quality, Timeliness and Appropriateness of Activations and the delivery of their KPIs.
  • Improvement and/or maintenance of Return on Marketing Investment (per activity and overall).
  • Management of relationships with Sales and 3-party Agencies.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • A 1st Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Management, Project Management, etc.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in brand management, marketing activity planning and execution.
  • Formal training in Project Management and/or 3 years’ experience delivering projects
  • Demonstrates a provable appreciation and understanding of Digital Marketing and Social Media and their related tools. Formal training in Digital Marketing is a plus.
  • Able to effectively communicate information and ideas in public forums to enlist alignment and support.
  • A dual-minded approach, “highly creative and an excellent communicator” but is also process-driven and relies on data to make decisions. An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize plans and tactics.
  • An insatiable appetite for getting involved and getting things done.
