Manage and Integrate Operations, Sales, Estimating Departments into Operations

• Assist with evaluation of critical path for projects with potential for material impact

• Provide technical support to estimators regarding best practices (means and methods)

• Support project managers with buyout of new projects, and review job cost budgets on awarded projects

• Mentor project managers, superintendents and project foreman and coordinators regarding job performance and career development

• Assist with resource management including people, equipment, and materials

• Ensure proper field reporting and documentation

• Support project managers with contract management and change order management

• Review month profit and loss statements for all projects, and work with project managers on corrective actions, as needed to meet project profit targets

• Hold weekly meetings with project managers

• Inventory control management

• Oversee equipment repairs and readiness

• Ensure project preparedness

• Ensure proper billing/cost allocation of owned-equipment and inventory


Perform monthly project reviews with Operations Manager / Director to include the following major activities:

• Project schedule, safety, administration, and profitability of each project.

• Quality of work.

• Quality of relationships with Owner, Subcontractors, and A/E firms.

• Provide current information required by the finance department to maintain the overall Company monthly Overhead Schedule for use by accounting to cost code operations employees and to maintain the overall Company Manpower schedule outlining the current and projected manpower requirements.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

This position regularly requires long hours and frequent nighttime and weekend work.

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in business related major

2. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.

3. 10-20 years of related industry experience.

4. Contracts and negotiation experience.
