POSITION OVERVIEW: Northeast Project Manager (Solar)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- We have partnered with a national solar developer with substantial partnerships in the solar industry and deepest roots in the northeast of the United States

- Growth will be dependent on consistent, strong execution of distributed generation solar projects to maintain our partnerships and deliver a positive customer experience

- Your job will be to lead northeast regional project management efforts and execute on appropriate processes for ongoing success, in coordination with the national team

Your mission:

- Assume responsibility for northeast project management activities from inception to completion (e.g., energy analysis, system design, permitting activities, installation, and customer interactions)

- Implement best-in-class project management process, including project schedules & budgets, partner management, communications patterns, customer relations, and internal tracking

- Develop structure to scale our operations as the company grows, preventing project management activities from becoming a bottleneck

- Support the maintenance of a project tracker and database to support future decision-making (e.g., cost estimates, equipment selection, partnership selection, and financial profitability)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Critical:

- You have 3+ years of project management experience at a solar or renewable energy company

- You have strong technical expertise or engineering experience, particularly with solar projects >100 kW

- You have experience navigating relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., utility companies, local jurisdictions, sub-contractors, etc.) to adeptly solve both personnel and project issues

- You have a track record of ensuring multiple concurrent projects meet timelines and budget constraints

- Commercial solar project management experience

- You have willingness to travel regionally as required

Bonus (nice-to-have):

- You have NABCEP PV Installation professional certification

- You have a can-do attitude and willingness to support all parts of the business as required (e.g., strategy, operations, sales)

- You have experience in the commercial solar space (500 kW –5 MW projects)
