Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

  • The Project Manager (PM) supervises and coordinates the safe completion of projects on time, within budget and with the quality specified.
  • It is his or her responsibility to initiate required action to achieve these objectives and to ensure that all project activities are consistent with the contract documents, company policy and project financial objectives.
  • The primary role of the PM is to lead and support the effectiveness of the project team. The duties will vary as required to support the Superintendent and other members of the project team.
  • The PM supports the Company’s procurement efforts through estimating and bidding new projects. Responsible for achieving company and project-level goals.

  • Highly developed leadership skills enabling the successful delivery of Design-Build projects from feasibility to closeout.
  • Degree in construction management or similar degree / experience.
  • Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project), and some computer aided drafting and modeling are preferred. Bluebeam experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at once, which could be various smaller projects and/or one large project.
  • Ability to interact with Owners, Design Consultants, Subcontractors and Vendors on a professional level while demonstrating strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills. Strong marketing, market development, sales and client management skills.

  • Ability to work with AutoCAD, as needed
  • Background in Design-Build and/or Design-Assist.
  • Experience with ComputerEase accounting software and Bluebeam.
  • Contract administration and insurance knowledge.
