Job Description

A Highly Respected, Sign business that has been operating for 40 years, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join the team for a Full-time position.

Production Manager POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for all aspects of the physical production of signs. Directs and coordinates manufacturing project activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors or staff.

Qualifications and Duties Production Manager:

  • Sign Experience a plus but will train the right individual.
  • Ability to adhere to established and proven company policies, procedures and business ethics.
  • Perform quality assurance measures through proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Must be reliable and have a positive attitude.
  • Communicate with other employees and customers in a calm and professional manner.
  • Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered.
  • Coordinates and monitors manufacturing projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Develops project schedules, cross-functional deliverables and detailed timelines.
  • Identifies and manages project priorities and cross-project dependencies.
  • Identifies and minimizes manufacturing risks.
  • Ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
  • Consults with senior peers on certain projects.
  • Moderate skills with high level of proficiency.
  • Read and interpret work orders, determine best output method.
  • Provide proofs as necessary to customers and be responsible for "on-time" production
  • Proofread/Inspect Jobs for accuracy.
  • Detail-orientated, multi-tasking and ability to maintain a positive attitude are critical skills.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager prepares and schedules work hours for each department based on business needs.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager, is responsible to safety and all OSHA requirements.
  • Supervises all production employees.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager is responsible for direct hiring of production employees.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager is responsible for discipline and/or corrective actions for all production employees.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager will coordinate hiring process with benefits administrator.

Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
