Commercial Insurance Sales Manager
We are looking for a Commercial insurance sales manager to be responsible for managing policy sales and overseeing the sales team. The responsibilities of an insurance sales manager include setting and monitoring sales goals, facilitating the professional development of the team, and providing co-workers and especially customer support.
To be successful as an insurance sales manager, you should have strong interpersonal skills, be passionate about providing support and motivation, and be comfortable working long hours. Ultimately, a top-notch insurance sales manager should be an exceptional leader, have good customer relations skills, and be goal-driven.
Insurance Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Setting and monitoring sales objectives
- Responsible for new/renewal business production
- Assisting/mentoring/recruiting new producers
- Providing sales strategies, feedback, and marketing plans
- Contributing to meeting sales targets
- Keeping up to date with industry developments
- Answering customer inquires
- Mediating questions/concerns with customers and carriers
Insurance Sales Manager Requirements:
- College degree preferred or comparable work experience
- 10+ years’ experience in the commercial insurance industry with a primary focus on Construction sales, service, and in-depth knowledge of applicable coverages
- CPCU, CIC, AIS, CRIS designations a plus
- Demonstrated management experience in a client service environment
- Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to travel to client sites and a reliable source of transportation
- A Property & Casualty License from state of domicile are required and must be maintained
- Solid understanding of policies, products, servicing, and marketing of new and renewal business
- Be able to provide mentorship
- Strong leadership qualities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
