Job Description

DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGERS

Responsibilities:

·         Meeting with customers, PMs, colleagues, engineers, architects, and sub-contractors on an ongoing basis regarding project objectives            and progress.

·         Manage multiple multi- million dollar projects

·         Ensuring all equipment, material, sub-contractors and manpower that is needed is available on site.

·         Ensuring budget costs relating to wages, sub-contractors, materials, and equipment aren’t exceeded.

·         Approving purchase requests with our purchasers.

·         Helping with Project submittals.

·         Directs project and program managers with business case development, RFPs, and related documentation.

·         Incorporates effective change and risk management controls.

·         Maintain accurate project and capacity plans and up-to-date project assets and metrics.

·         Create a positive environment including open, honest communication and a clear path to escalate risks and issues.

·         Manage and develop strong project teams.

·         Guides, mentors, and develops junior program management team members.

·         Manage a group of Project Managers that are responsible for project lifecycle, from creation to close.

·         Ability to work across diverse personalities and agendas.

·         Builds and maintains related reporting and metrics for senior executives.

·         Escalate business critical issues to executives.

·         Track project deliverables and suggest better tools or resources as appropriate.

 

Requirements:

·         5 years’ experience is needed

·         Bachelor’s degree is a plus

·         Proficient in Microsoft Project, CAD, Procore and any other construction software’s.

·         Proficiency in business applications (e.g., Internet, email, WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).

·         Comfortable presenting to small and large groups.

·         Must be able to thrive in a constantly changing environment.

·         Ability to work independently on numerous activities and prioritize them properly while meeting deadlines.

·         Experience with the set up and development of EPC projects a strong plus.

·         Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

·         Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

·         Open to Travel.

·         Food and beverage and manufacturing is a plus
