Job Description
Requisition #: 7936 Entity/Department: Goshen Hospital / Goshen Surgery Center Shift/Hours: Days / Full Time / Exempt In support of the mission of Goshen Health Ambulatory Surgery Center and reporting to the Administrative Director; the Manager is responsible for the day to day business office functions of Goshen Health Ambulatory Surgery Center. The Manager#s responsibilities include: 1.) accounts receivable (i.e post payments and collections); 2.) cash management; 3.) supervision of the business office personnel; 4) assisting the Administrative Director with Accounts Payable and Payroll. Understanding and monitoring managed care contracts and month end reports. Will work with the Administrative Director on credentialing and attend board meetings and interview, hire and train all business office employees.# The Manager also provides managerial expertise in the evaluation, planning and implementation of program services ensuring a high level of quality and compliance is maintained for CSR#s, Medical Records, Billing and Coding, Medical Records, Research Accounting, EMR build and maintenance.# Position Qualifications Minimum Education: Associates# Degree in Business or healthcare field or related area, or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 3 years management experience. Preferred Education: Bachelor#s Degree in Business or healthcare field or related area. Minimum Experience: Must have 4 years# experience in health care industry with one year in supervisory role. Strong background in accounting and financial management. Working knowledge of medical terminology and insurance claims processing.# Previous use of spreadsheet software is essential.# Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid. Familiarity with medical software. Certifications Preferred: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification and Certified Professional Coder. #ZR
