Job Summary:

Oversees, coordinates and performs daily services provided at the designated contractual site, and assists supervisor with the supervision of employees’ daily duties.

  • Monitors and orders supplies.
  • Maintains security of the building by being able to secure / lock the facility and set the alarm.
  • Maintains floors and carpets by operating high and low speed scrubbers and carpet extractors.
  • Assists members of Good Clean management with contract negotiations and pursuance of new contracts.
  • Communicates with supervisor regularly.

Represents the Agency in all interactions with other members of the Goodwill community and with the general public, supporting the agency Vision of creating sustainable communities that thrive through the fullest participation of their diverse residents.

Furthers the organizational commitment to triple bottom line results: integrating social, economic and environmental goals into thinking, planning and actions.

Essential Functions:

Communication:

  • Maintains communication with supervisor on a consistent basis, keeping them informed of areas of improvement.
  • Coordinates personnel at the designated site under the instruction of supervisor.
  • Maintains a productive work environment that promotes positive employee morale and high-quality customer service and assures the continuance of contracted services.
  • Cooperates closely with the Agency Employment Services department and other social service agencies.
  • Provides superior customer service though polite and professional interaction with site host and coworkeers.

Knowledge:

  • Maintains equipment/supplies.
  • Maintains a high standard of personal appearance.
  • Maintains floors and carpets by operating high and low speed scrubbers and carpet extractors
  • Maintains security of the building by being able to secure/lock the facility and set the alarm.

Administration:

  • Assures that services are performed according to prescribed methods and meet established standards set by the contracting party and the Agency.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment; ensures adequate security and compliance with safety and environmental regulations as well as with Agency health and safety standards.
  • Maintains cleanliness of assigned areas such as restrooms, offices, floors/carpets and hallways; using proper cleaning agents,standard custodial practices and operating high and low speed scrubbers and carpet extractors.
  • Fills soap dispensers, refills paper towel racks and distributes toilet paper and other supplies as necessary.
  • Recycles paper, aluminum cans, cardboard and other recyclable materials at assigned site(s), where applicable
  • Where applicable, maintains outside areas including sweeping, maintaining lawns; picks up debris from the grounds and performs snow removal
  • Assists members of Good Clean management with contract negotiations and pursuance of new contracts.
  • Performs duties of a custodian I and custodian II.

Requirements:

  • Criminal Background Check that meets agency standards
  • Driver License
  • Ability to handle strenuous physical activity, including infrequent heavy lifting
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified information
  • Ability to handle up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
