Maintenance Worker

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities:

To provide general building maintenance for Company facilities, within the scope of ability.

 1.         To maintain job sites and shop area in accordance with good housekeeping and Company safety                               standards.

2.         To assist Maintenance supervisor in performing assigned tasks.

3.         To maintain all tools and equipment in a clean, safe condition, including proper safeguards.

4.         To safeguard all tools and materials against theft.

5.         To follow all safety policies and procedures.

6.         To maintain the maintenance work area in a clean, organized, safe condition at all times.

Skills and Abilities:

1.         Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.

2.         Must be able to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.

3.         Must be able to engage in prolonged standing, walking and in frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.

4.         Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights and weekends.

5.         Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 25 #=s frequently and 50 #=s occasionally.

6.         Must be able to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.

7.         Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

8.         Must possess a valid driver's license.

Requirements:

General maintenance experience required.

Working Conditions:

Extreme physical exertion, exposure to inclement weather; exposure to chemical fumes and machine noise.
