Job Description
Salary: 41,000-43,000 DOE

Position Objective:

Manages E-Commerce operations to provide exceptional customer service through the efficient management of E-Commerce staff, donations, processing, stock rotation, and sales. Properly maintains E-Commerce department on various selling platforms. This includes setting up and executing online selling in new marketplaces such as books and media.  Implements strategy for E-Commerce operations, including, projects, collections, security, safety, processing sales, personnel management, financial performance, and margin goals.


Essential Duties:

  • Leading and Developing Talent: Manages departmental structure, development, and training of staff.
  • Oversee the proper procedures for handling and sales of E-Commerce merchandise including books and media. Ensures enough inventory is processed each day for listing. Oversees sort to ensure that goods rejected for online sale will be made available to the retail stores as timely as possible. Tracks inventory by each location for sales reporting.
  • Working Supervisor Position / Provides backup for E-Commerce staff to ensure response times and orders are met.
  • Manage supplies’ inventory.
  • Manages online sales on all platforms including Shopgoodwill.com and any other marketplaces and shipment of those sold items.
  • Ensures merchandise is priced in accordance with established standards.
  • Reviews sellers’ information on Shopgoodwill.com and all other marketplaces to ensure that it is compliant with requirements related to posting of items, description etiquette, and other criteria.
  • Monitors shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to maintain satisfactory thresholds with various marketplaces.
  • Maintains the department budget to include sales, payroll, and expense to revenue.
  • Verifies that the quality and quantity of merchandise is adequate to obtain sales and production quotas.
  • Coordinates training of E-Commerce staff and store staff to effectively identify collectable and/or valuable merchandise.
  • Secures cash, merchandise and other company property by implementing security systems and other loss prevention measures.
  • Occasional travel is required for business related activities.
  • Maintains a safe and clean department environment.
  • Maintains the stability and reputation of the agency by complying with legal requirements.
  • Assists with determining marketing strategy changes by reporting trends in operating reports and statements and departmental sales records.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies and procedures (OSHA, CARF, HIPPA, and all other Federal, State, and Local regulatory standards and procedures) within assigned functional areas.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Partners with the GoodWORKs department to provide appropriate training programs for clients that will assist them in meeting their goals.

Education:

  • Advanced reading, writing, and math.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 4-year degree in Business Management or Marketing preferred.

 

Work Environment:

Retail environment with fluorescent lighting and climate-controlled temperature. Occasional exposure to dust, lint, and other irritants generated by the sorting and handling of donated goods. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Frequent nontraditional (nights and weekends) hours. Some instances of short deadlines and fast paced situations or demands.
