Our agency is looking for a Director of Business Development that will lead, manage, and shape the revenue growth practices at GPD from the ground up. The sole value of this role is driving growth for the Good People Digital Brand and our clients' brands. The Director of Business Development will play a key leadership role within GPD and will initially report to the Chief Revenue Officer, but work closely with the CEO to define goals and strategies.

This role plays at the intersection of Sales, Strategy, Technology, and Marketing to envision and shape digital solutions and experiences for potential clients. You will not find yourself being bored in this position. You will be ever learning, and pushed for personal and professional growth.

Essential Job Functions
  • Identifies and develops new business opportunities through your personal network, cold calling, and social media
  • Helps to shape the company's short-term and long-term sales objectives and determines plans for how to meet them
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to scheduled consultations to closing clients
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the company's current offerings to identify profitable business opportunities
  • Provide insights and recommendations on product development and solutions
  • Own, hit, and exceed agreed upon sales targets and outcomes in a quarterly cadence.
  • Set up meetings with potential clients and understand the company's services can meet their needs
  • Create and maintain monthly and quarterly sales reports and systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with team members to achieve seamless new client onboarding
  • Build deeper strategic client partnerships and grow potential partnerships through creative solutions
  • Collaborate with our strategy, production, and operations team members to craft proposals, pitches, and SOWs for prospective and existing clients
  • Diversify and develop revenue channels for the Good People Digital brand and our clients brands
  • Essential Core Competencies
  • Deep experience with a digital agency or consulting firm in the technology space.
  • Strong grasp of consultative selling, effective sales email writing, and the ability to research marketing challenges and translate those to your selling efforts on behalf of your clients.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record.
  • Ability to identify and characterize business issues, while demonstrating a balance of constraints to discern a solution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically, both verbally and on paper, and across all levels of an organization. The ideal candidate excels in client relationships/communication and possesses the executive presence to influence appropriate senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to simultaneously tackle multiple projects and challenges with enthusiasm.
  • Possess a strong curiosity, ability to deal with ambiguity, work autonomously and a preference for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills including structuring data and managing details.
  • Skilled at working collaboratively across varying departments.
  • Must be proficient with tools such as WordPress, Email Marketing Services, Whimsical, ClickUp, Google Analytics, Zoom, Slack, Pitch, and G-Suite (including Docs, Sheets, Slides).
