Key Responsibilities/Tasks:

3-10 years of experience, with specific understanding of site work. This will be to oversee the new taxiway/runway infrastructure at the Orlando International Airport.

This position is based at the Orlando International Airport for the New South Terminal and working directly for a large Construction Management firm. The person should have the desire be on a $500+ million-dollar project.

The BIM Specialist (VDC Manager) acts as the assistant to the Project Manager. The follow is a partial list of the primary task of the BIM Specialist (VDC Manager):

  1. Support the Field-The primary way this is done is with the use of the BIM Model.

  2. The role will require personnel to work in conjunction with other departments within the company including Estimating, Planning, Quality, Field Staff, etc. Personnel will be required to work with senior Contracts and Project managers on site.

  3. Facilitate construction by applying BIM and CAD technologies in the design phase.

  4. Offer cross-team support for BIM software.

  5. Ensure all models are compatible and BIM data is available to all project participants.

  6. Collaborate with the design team and other departments to identify goals and communicate procedural changes.

  7. Basic understanding of Construction and Building within the USA.

Skills

  1. General understanding of the construction industry.

  2. Basic MS Office Suite.

  3. Work in an office and field environment at a major construction project.

  4. Must have a working and professional knowledge of English. This is in written and verbal forms.

  5. The individual must be legal to work within the United States.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in a construction related field, i.e. construction management, engineering, business or equivalent subjects.
