Vice President of Accounting

VICE PRESIDENT of ACCOUNTING

GSR Brands, the parent company of two iconic local Cincinnati restaurant brands, Gold Star and Tom & Chee, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Accounting to coordinate, administer, and control the financial operations of our dynamic and growing company. This key role will oversee all auditing, accounting, and reporting activities within multiple business units, including franchising, restaurants, wholesale manufacturing and real estate. The VP of Accounting will report on metrics to optimize business growth by understanding where efficiencies exist to maximize opportunities. Reporting to the CEO, responsibilities include overseeing the accounting department, gathering and analyzing financial data and prepare financial reports across all business units. Please note, although the work schedule is flexible, this position requires in-person work at our Corporate office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, direct and coordinate all financial analysis to provide leadership with accurate and timely data for the evaluation of operations.

Oversee all accounting functions to provide business management with accurate and complete data for cost management and evaluation of inventory and operations.

Develop and maintain financial control procedures, safeguard assets, cost planning and interpret financial reports for all operations.

Provide evaluation and recommendations based on forecasts and actual results.

Deliver financial analysis of risks and benefits for all major business initiatives to support the decision-making process.

Create a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting structure that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs.

Provide financial support to management related to capital and fixed assets.

Ensure full compliance with all banking and legal regulatory requirements.

Manage annual audit and entities tax returns as to ensure compliance and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

8+ years' experience in finance and/or accounting (hospitality/restaurant and/or real estate experience a plus)

Strong analytical skills. Ability to develop and analyze complex issues and present summaries and recommendations

Very strong leadership capabilities and experience influencing and challenging business leaders to drive results

Demonstrated ability to lead and participate on teams (entrepreneurial spirit a plus)

Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, organizational and management skill

Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a dynamic work environment

Strong knowledge of Information Systems to develop, implement and maintain new systems and incorporate production processing changes into existing systems

CPA, CMA or MBA degree preferred
