ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Maintains clean and sanitary work area/sPractices and Promotes Safety in the WorkplaceFollows and enforces all applicable food service health and safety regulations.Maintain clean, pre-set tables to facilitate the steady flow of customersPromptly greets guests and delivers non-alcoholic beveragesRemoves dirty dishes from guest table during diningNotifies supervisor of product shortagesAble to multi-taskPerforms other related duties as... assignedBetween seating, promptly clear and clean tabletops, chairs and boothsInspect floor and clean as requiredReset and arrange tabletopCommunicate with Server and Cashier regarding seating and table utilizationAssist server with food delivery and/or re-fills of non-alcoholic beveragesAttends and participates in employee meetingsFill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurantBe accountable for and fully utilize EDGE for each guest experienceConducts self in a manner that reflects credit on Gold Country Casino & HotelOther duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to multi-task and able to lift at least 75lbs. Applicant needs to exhibit flexibility with schedule and must be able to remain standing for extended periods of time. Applicant must obtain training on food safety and responsible beverage service of the Casino's choosing. Applicant must be 18 years of age. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma, General Education Degree (GED), entry-level position and no prior experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the casino and hotel.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to talk and hear.
The individual is also regularly required to bend; stand; walk; sit; and use hand/eye coordination. The Individual must be able to lift at least 75 pounds. The individual may be required to stand for 8 hours.
