Position Summary:

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing technology operations at God’s Pantry Food Bank. The individual designs and establishes IT policies and systems and is also responsible for analyzing the business requirements of end users to determine their technology needs and to develop plans to address those needs.


Essential Duties/Functions:

Data Systems and Management

  • Provide assistance, training, and technical guidance to the Operation’s Team for the bar-coding system.
  • Manage God’s Pantry Food Bank’s databases across multiple environments.
  • Configure and maintain integrations from various software applications to data warehouse.
  • Create and maintain a digital forms inventory for the organization.
  • Manage Office 365 environment and associated applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, PowerBI, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
  • Lead the Food Bank team in Jet Reports and Tableau and is proficient in both.
  • Prepare periodic and special reports from software systems and applications used for God’s Pantry Food Bank staff as required.
  • Manage website hosting platform to ensure God’s Pantry Food Bank website operates at peak efficiency.

Project Coordination and Communication

  • Oversee 3rd party service desk team to ensure that God’s Pantry Food Bank staff receives effective and timely resolution of issues.
  • For issues beyond the scope of expertise, coordinate with local or contract vendors for their assistance.
  • Coordinate all aspects of IT operational processes, procedures, and tasks as related to other responsibilities.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain security awareness training programs.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain data quality policies and procedures.

Program Support and Evaluation

  • Stay current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommend ways for the Food Bank to take advantage of new technology.
  • Assist other departments in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures, and lead them through Process Flow Mapping, identifying areas where technology can improve efficiency.
  • Provide full-cycle project management for information technology projects.
  • Understand all aspects of operational processes, procedures, and tasks.
  • Serve as an escalation point for issues beyond the scope of expertise of other IT team members.
  • Recommend the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the budgeting system and train staff.
  • Train staff on software and procedures.

Leadership, Management and Culture

  • Manage Information Technology budget.
  • Assist Leadership Team with reports and tasks, as needed.
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, and monitoring performance.
  • Assist Director of Finance in the development and implementation of policies and standards for the acquisition and use of computers and other technology products.
  • Assist department directors in evaluation of vendor proposals for hardware, software, and other technology-related products and solutions.
  • Assist Director of Finance in the development of long-range planning for the implementation of support systems and technology.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $ 65,000 to $70,000 annually or more for related experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, and databases.
  • Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage information technology projects.
  • Proficient in Dynamics NAV, Jet Reports, and Tableau.
  • Candidate should be outgoing and enjoy interacting and working with a variety of people.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage relationships with various vendors.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years Information Technology experience preferred.
  • Nonprofit experience preferred.
