Job Description

The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning, management, and execution throughout the entire Product Lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

This position requires a high degree of teamwork, communication, organizational skills, creativity and critical thinking, and proven written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating, managing, maintaining, and communicating product vision and roadmap, including vision and scale
  • Review quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities for product improvements, assess product issues and determine cause, scale, and impact opportunity
  • Define and execute go-to market plan in coordination with marketing and sales teams
  • Create innovative and comprehensive business cases (SWOT, Pricing, product positioning), optimizing and leveraging the existing systems, talent, and infrastructure
  • Analyze and assess current tech trends and market segments, including impact to the roadmap and/or create opportunity for innovation of the product
  • Present and collaborate with Leadership to select what product(s) to pursue
  • Develop, maintain, track, and report on a three-year product roadmap
  • Play an advisory role during the implementation of the product/enhancement and ensure that end delivery aligns with business vision and provides superior customer experience
  • Operate independently and as part of a team to assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of the annual software and services growth plan to exceed goals and drive incremental revenue through key value-add differentiators
  • Negotiate contracts, define SOW, and forecast alongside the sales and support teams
  • Drive, analyze, and manage P&L in CRM
  • Work with Strategic Marketing to develop promotional programs resulting in portfolio growth and profitability
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of the product line from idea to sunsetting legacy products
  • Provide responsive, courteous support to Sales, Vendor Partners, and other internal departments at multiple management levels
  • Collaborate and develop positive working relationships with technical and non-technical teams, including sales, commercial accounting, marketing, legal, go-to-market, finance, Dev, Architecture, Engineering
  • Work and interface with outside partners and other third parties
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to build solid, effective working relationships with others
  • Proven track record of driving innovation on behalf of customers and enterprises (vendors, partners)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and conduct formal presentations, in a clear and concise manner, to a variety of audiences including C-Level Executives, technical and non-technical SMEs
  • Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives. Results and detail oriented
  • Experience thinking both strategically and tactically
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude in the face of criticism, rejection, and/or set-backs
  • Understanding and practice with product management methodologies, especially those that support agile software development environments
  • Experience negotiating, delivering, and promoting selling ideas persuasively closing transactions with mutually beneficial results
  • Highly skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, etc) and other relevant computer applications
  • 10+ years of successful experience in Product Management, Product Owner, Marketing, or Sales in an Agile software development environment
  • Tech savvy and passionate about building products
  • Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives
  • Bachelors Degree (Technical, Engineering or other relevant degree) preferred, requisite experience may be considered
  • Some travel required
