Responsible for providing customer support in relation to EF&I material issues both internal and external. Will assist in the development and implementation of new procedures for MSOLv and Gestalt and will be the material liaison between engineering, warehousing, and installation.
Duties and Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following.
Become the subject matter expert in the daily inputting and monitoring of the Verizon logistics MSOLv system on a “real time” basis
Single point of contact for all e-mails and phone calls in reference to MSOLv questions and issues.
Point of contact for lost and damaged material. Will interface with warehouse personnel, accounting department, and the customer for quick resolution.
Coordinates and fine tunes CBM warehouse procedures, working with all necessary personnel
Coordinate and schedule material deliveries and cleanouts to customer job sites.
Assist with the project management of large material roll outs.
Assist with the project management of Rack & Stack deployments in relation to our EF&I services
Regular interface with Business Development/Sales and Warehousing/Logistics in the resolution of escalated material problems.

Interface with customer representatives (customer logistics personnel, field engineers, vendor managers) on a professional basis – always remaining customer focused.
Interface with “internal customers” such as field engineers, installation supervisors, lead installers, and installation techs.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Ensuring that communication between departments is ongoing and utilized to maintain an environment of continuous improvement.
Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
Complete data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service

Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel.
Ability to understand and effectively communicate with others.

Credentials and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, material management, or equivalent.
Requires organizational and communications skills as well as a thorough understanding of our EF&I processes.
High School diploma is necessary. Some college or technical school a plus.
Understanding of various software packages including MS Word, spreadsheet/database programs such as MS Excel, MS Access
Ability to quickly learn customer engineering databases and software.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities and must be able to consistently work under and meet strict deadlines.
Must possess good leadership, verbal and written communication skills.
The employee will be required to use his/her hands 90% of the time to type, write, and handle paperwork.
The employee must be able to distinguish between different colors.
The employee will be possibly riding in a company vehicle to and from customer sites, sitting at a desk 95% of the time with walking between offices and other work areas from time to time and working in tight spaces that include computer network infrastructure.
The employee may, from time to time, be required to lift weight (i.e., paper boxes and installation materials) up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) is generally required, as the employee will be working at a computer, working with files & paperwork and working on specialized computer & networking devices.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle and feel computers and standard business equipment; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; and climb and balance in high precarious places.
The work environment will consist of a business office setting. That means a clean, air-conditioned, setting including moderate noise levels (i.e., computers and printers, phones and light traffic).

At times, the Operations Logistics Specialist will be required to walk out into a warehouse setting and interact with the warehouse staff.

Due to the nature of our Customers’ requirements, work schedules and hours of operation can be dynamic. The Operations Logistics Specialist may at times be asked to adjust to varying work schedules, which may include overtime.
The Operations Logistics Specialist will be cross-trained in other Operations Department functions and at times be required to perform other tasks duties outside of those listed above
