Your Contributions to the Team:

If you answered "yes," and want to explore a career with the premier West Coast honey packer, GloryBee needs you! We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This person will serve as a contact point for accounting related tasks within the organization and manage a variety of accounting functions, to include preparing and recording journal entries, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting functions of Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Although it would be nice to find a candidate within proximity to our operations in Eugene, Oregon, and we have office space available, we are open to hybrid or fully remote work. The typical work week for this full time salaried role is Monday Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or as needed. Job duties may include:
- Reconciles general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Analyzes financial statements for discrepancies
- Generates and analyzes financial records and data for the organization
- Identifies errors and provides suggestions and potential solutions that would improve efficiency and spending
- Prepares and enters journal entries
- Tracks wires and prepayments to suppliers and invoices for product/PO payments
- Processes payments and adjustments within accounts
- Provides support with other Accounts Receivable functions
- Provides backup support for Accounts Payable and Payroll
- Assists with preparation of company financial and tax reports and reconciliations
- Assists with the annual financial audit
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing full cycle accounting is required, ideally within a manufacturing setting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, is required; an Associate's degree in Accounting may be accepted, in combination with multiple years' experience performing Accounting functions within a manufacturing setting
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) is required
- Experience using accrual based accounting is strongly preferred
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Excel including the ability to create, modify, and format spreadsheets, create charts, and calculate data using formulas
- High level of organization and the ability to focus on tasks, work under deadlines, balance multiple demands, and work both independently and as part of a cohesive team
- Strong data entry and analytical skillset
- Exceptional customer service and follow through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and ability to prioritize workflow
- Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP or ERP) systems is preferred, but not required
