GlobalTranz is looking for an ambitious, intelligent, and forward-thinking individual to support and optimize a portfolio of established customers. The right candidate enjoys a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, while possessing the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize assigned tasks. This candidate will be diligent in their customer service focus, efficient in their communication, and solve problems with creativity.


A GlobalTranz Account Coordinator (AC) is responsible for supporting an individual or collection of
established clients. The primary objective of the AC role is to handle the tactical operations and day to day processes for their assigned customers. The majority of the AC’s attention is focused on ensuring that the business we are awarded from these clients is managed with the utmost care and customer service. The AC is responsible for ensuring all daily tasks are completed as efficiently as possible and in accordance with department policy and customer-specific procedures. The AC reports through their respective National Account Manager and/or Account Executive.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure all awarded shipments are confirmed received and documented accurately

  • Ensure all pickups and drop-offs are scheduled appropriately, communicating any concerns internally as well as with the appropriate customer representative(s)

  • Ensure all shipments are built accurately in our proprietary TMS, CommandCenter

  • Troubleshoot any motor carrier or customer concerns as it relates to on-time pickup and delivery of your customer(s) shipments

  • Respond to all customer and carrier emails and phone calls in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with your team in an effort to assure all shipments are booked, tracked, and collected when necessary

  • Cross-train with carrier sales rep, account executive, and/or national account manager to develop a well-rounded skill set in an effort to be able to supplement your team members when in need


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain strongly preferred.

  • 1+ years’ experience in logistics or the transportation industry preferred

Skill set, Tools, and Equipment

  • Detail oriented: The candidate should have a perfectionist attitude when it comes to documenting, transcribing, and communicating alpha/numeric details as it pertains to our customer’s shipments

  • Time management and organizational skills: The candidate must manage their time effectively and re-prioritize on the fly

  • Sense of urgency: The candidate is able to excel by navigating through a stressful and fast-paced environment

  • Effective communicator: The candidate is able to effectively communicate with a wide demographic of people in person, on the phone, and via email. Strong interpersonal skills are vital

  • Critical thinker: The candidate has the ability to problem solve and think creatively regarding potential solutions to problems that are presented

  • Team player: The candidate should possess the ability to work in a team environment, harboring our cultural values, while also delivering independent results

  • Self-starter: The candidate can work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision.

  • Proficient with computers: The candidate must be very comfortable with the Microsoft suite of applications, web-based software, printers, scanner, and professional office phones


Physical Working Conditions and Office Setting Description

  • Requires prolonged sitting, standing, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching.

  • Some light lifting may be required.

  • Frequent and prolonged typing and operation of computer, keyboard, and telephones

  • Requires occasional use of fax machines, telephones, copiers, and other office
