These are remote openings, and a year long contract. A good bit of travel involved, and part time work available too.

Job Description:

GST is looking for an experienced professionals for the T&E Cybersecurity Program for the Independent Test Agent (ITA) program of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The ITA program’s mission is to provide standardized Testing and Evaluation (T&E) services that support DHS major acquisition programs and improve acquisition program outcomes. These jobs involved heavy travel, and solid knowledge of acquisitions.

The DHS domains supported include: T&E in support of Information Technology (IT) and or Agile Software Development, Cyber Resilience T&E, Technology Systems (e.g., cameras; radar; command, control, and communication systems; data integration; motion sensors; etc.), watercraft (e.g., U.S. Coast Guard Cutters and small coastal craft, Aviation (Helicopters and fixed wing aircraft), Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Counter UAS systems, Vehicles, and Detection systems (e.g., Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear, Explosives and others). This job will be focused on CBP.

Responsibilities:

T&E Reliability Program Manager will:

· Provides insight and advice concerning strategic direction and applicability of current, government and or industry standards, best practices, and or innovative solutions based on in-depth understanding of the latest developments relevant to test and evaluation arena.

· Responsible for planning, executing, and assessing complex efforts along with providing high level vision to program/manager and or leadership while managing and or influencing objectives of complex efforts.

· Provides guidance on the functional procedures/processes/policies reflecting detailed knowledge of functional areas which can include (Information Technology, Agile Software Development, Technology Systems, Aviation, Unmanned Aerial Systems, and Detection Systems).

· Monitoring security access - evaluate passwords, badges, logins, utilize firewalls and information security standards to keep the organization secure.

· Perform security assessments and conduct security audits.

· Identify the cause of security breaches and help to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

· Work with vendors to ensure privacy standards are met.

· Lead in-depth research and analysis in support of complex efforts.

Requirements

· A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

· A Master’s degree in the arts or sciences. Long-term related experience (15 years) may reduce the amount of education required.

· The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple testing activities and methods and/or experience in the equipment being tested (CT scanning systems/AT systems).

· Have completed the current DHS (or DOD equivalent) training requirements for T&E Level I through II.

Technical support ranges from lab management to research and development (R&D) on the detectable properties of explosives and other dangerous materials, new technology for explosive detection in passenger and cargo screening, testing and certification of explosive detection equipment.
