Job Description

In this hands-on management role the Quality Assurance Manager will leverage skills and experience to manage quality assurance operations, ensure maximum product quality and customer satisfaction.  Implement, maintain and improve quality systems within the organization.  Responsible for establishing standards, policies and procedures for QA programs involving manufacturing departments consisting of machine shop, paint department, assembly departments, incoming product from suppliers and packaging/shipping department.  Responsible for reporting all aspects of Quality and system performance to senior management.

Essential Job Functions
•The voice of quality as it pertains to the customer and compliance requirements
•Supervise all quality personnel 
•Member of the Operations Leadership Team
•Quality System software owner to include Document Control, NC, CAPA, Audit, Complaint and Supplier Quality responsibility
•Interact with manufacturing, engineering, sales & marketing and technical support personnel to identify, isolate and troubleshoot quality related concerns
•Develop and implement quality system improvements that improve compliance while maintaining manufacturing agility
•Help foster cultural change that results in improved manufacturing process control and improved product quality 

Position Requirements
•BS degree from an accredited college or university
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality and 3 years of experience in Quality Management
•21 CFR Part 820 Quality System Regulation experience
•ISO 13485 Quality System experience
•Interact effectively with all levels of the organization 
•Experience working with Quality System software and databases
•Excellent presentation skills and trainer 
•Ability to read and understand part drawings
•Ability to use measuring tools such as Micrometers, Calipers, Height, Thread and Plug Gages
•Strong work ether; ability to get things done
•Strong teamwork skills; ability to work well with others
•Strong time management skills

Additional Skills and Knowledge Helpful to this Position:
•MS degree a plus
•CQE, CQM and/or CQA a plus
•Six Sigma and/or Lean training or certification a plus
•Machine shop and/or electrical/mechanical experience a plus

Physical Demands:
•Wear safety glasses and safety shoes while in production areas
•Occasionally lift heavy parts (around 40 pounds, may receive help if part shape or size makes it unsafe for one person to lift)
•Lift parts off floor or from shelves at varying levels including at shoulder level
•Work in an environment with machinery that uses oils and coolants
