Radiology Technologist ARRT

This job is located in Downey, CA.

Global Service Resources Inc., a leading national Healthcare Staffing Agency, has an opening for a Radiology tech, at Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center in Downey, CA.

Hours: Monday - Friday (8am - 4:30pm), some weekends.

Regular Pay Rate: $40/hr. DOE

Crisis Pay Rate: $52/hr. DOE

X-RAY TECH JOB DUTIES:

* performs digital radiographic procedures limited to the scope of practice (chest, extremities, and torso-skeletal). Skull preferred but not required

* Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of visit.

* Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.

* Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about follow-up appointments.

* Schedules follow-up appointments.

* Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

* Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

* Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications.

X-RAY TECH SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

- 2 years experience minimum in an acute care facility and a current x-ray technician certificate

- ARRT License

- Fluoroscopy License
