IT Specialist

You will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring our growing office IT infrastructure as well as collaborating with other team members to develop various strategies for improving our internal processes. You will be working in a dynamic environment, gaining experience in a wide range of technologies and opportunities for growth in various technical areas. You will be expected to complete tasks independently and to be proactive about completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Office IT for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android users
• Provide direct support to users, including printing, phones and other IT tasks
• Manage corporate infrastructure (including office and datacenter) and assets
• Tune performance and ensure high availability of office infrastructure
• Create tools to help other users make the most out of available infrastructure
• Monitor network and systems for outage and repair as needed
• Plan, develop and maintain resources for a global workforce

Required skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail in a fast paced environment
• Independently driven
• Experience managing Windows & Exchange servers, including maintenance and patching
• Able to provide direct user support to include workstation troubleshooting and setup
• Understands basic networking protocols such as SSH, DNS, DHCP, HTTP(s), IMAP and SMTP
• Ability to troubleshoot, install and manage services on production Linux servers
• Ability to troubleshoot common user problems including those on a Mac, iOS, Android and Windows

Preferred skills:

• Experience in the following areas:
  • Authentication (FreeIPA, LDAP, Radius, Active Directory)
  • Encryption (X.509, PGP, S/MIME)
  • E-mail Servers (Postfix, Dovecot, Exchange)
  • Virtualization (ESX, Fusion)
  • VPN (Remote Employees)
  • Voice Over IP (VOIP) (Asterisk)
  • Remote Collaboration Tools (Pexip)
  • Productivity Tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Operating Systems (Ubuntu Linux, Open BSD, Windows)
  • Scripting (Python, Ansible)
  • Networking (Cisco Switches / Wireless Access Points)

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
