Network Engineer

Our company is searching for a Network Engineer who can implement equipment installation plans based on customer statements of work, maintain each component of the network and troubleshoot issues. The Network Engineer will be responsible for ticket escalations from our NOC, assessing the functionality of the network routers, networks changes, developing and implementing troubleshooting processes and training. There is also a rotating on-call component.

Role and Responsibilities

• Network configuration and management of a wide array of networking equipment including: firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers, VoIP systems, etc.
• Fiber/ONT experience highly preferred.
• Create network diagrams and update network documentation
• Develop troubleshooting procedures
• Troubleshoot escalated tickets and follow through to resolution
• Communicate with customers regarding network design and incidents
• Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• Cisco Firepower
• Focus in a specific networking vertical is preferred with a strong understanding of route/switching.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to operate independently or as part of collaborative effort
• Equivalent work experience implementing and operating enterprise level data center and/or office networks.
• Experience 3+ years

Preferred Skills:

Skill set should be in network configuration and management. Preference knowledge in newer technologies.
