Global LT, Inc. is a world class service provider of Language, Cultural Training, Translation, and Expatriate Destination services.
Global LTs Translation Department provides a full range of language services including translation, interpreting, transcription, multilingual desktop publishing services, website globalization, software localization, subtitling, voiceover and multicultural marketing.
We are currently seeking a Translation Project Manager to join our team. The selected candidate may work remotely. High client demand languages include: Spanish, Canadian French, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean.
The Translation Project Managers (TPM) responsibilities include monitoring and quality control of Global LTs Translation Solutions: Translation, Interpreting, and Voiceover services.
Managing Projects and Performing Quality Control:
Participate in a wide variety of project-related activities.
Maintain extensive communication internally and with clients and vendors.
Identify, monitor and resolve problems.
Ensure deadlines are met or exceeded.
Ensure processes are followed to maintain the highest quality.
Quality Check orders at various stages of the process to ensure quality and accuracy.
Implement current and create new quality assurance measures.
Analyzing / Pricing / Quoting:
Analyze new projects, determine pricing, and provide quotes to Clients.
Monitor budgets, costs and profit margins.
Vendors include Translators, Interpreters, Voiceover talents, equipment rental companies, etc.
Evaluate and assign Vendors based on their subject matter expertise and experience. Evaluate and optimize their performance and utilize Vendors in the most profitable and efficient way.
Keep data records updated and organized.
Ensure translation memories and glossaries are updated.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Experience with translation/localization, voiceover and/or interpretation
Previous Project Management experience
Proficiency in a foreign language is required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Knowledge of database and internet software
- Experience with CAT tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus
- Experience with design tools such InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop is a plus
- Experience with eLearning tools such as Adobe Captivate, and Articulate Storyline is a plus
