Training & Organization Development Manager. The Training & Organization Development Manager is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. Tasks:
•Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops
•Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires
•Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors
•Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
•Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
•Develop and maintain organizational communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and organization development events and resources.
•Train and coach managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts
•Conduct annual training and organization development needs assessment.
•Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
•Administer and manage the assigned department/area(s) budget effectively while following GEI standards and processes
•Perform other functions and duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
•Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
•5 years’ experience in designing and implementing employee development programs.
•Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred.

•Computer - laptop
•Computer software programs and peripherals: training software
•Copier, fax, telephone, and other equipment applicable to position.
Skills & Abilities
•Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
•Advanced verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
•Strong leadership, delegation, and follow-up skills.
