Job Description

A diverse company representing major Tier 1 OEM suppliers specializing in sales,engineering/design support, quality, and logistics. We develop a variety of automotive components from aluminum castings to high temperature injection molded parts.

We work with the largest supplier of aluminum wheels in the world and are ranked number 71 on the Global OEM TOP suppliers list. Our team is highly motivated and experienced in developing highly styled, safety critical, mass optimized components. We also work with advanced OEM studio teams on wheel styling, while ensuring CAE tools and standard OEM design practices are properly used to provide an optimized design solution.

We are looking for a Spanish Bilingual Quality Coordinator to be responsible for ensuring all metrics for Quality, Delivery, and Cost are met and trending in the right direction. Proper production preparation, quality, and time accuracy, through the implementation of continuous improvement are key.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interface with all areas of the company, its customer and suppliers on quality issues.
  • Guide the warehouse with quality requirements and monitors rejects. Conducts on-site sorting and disposition.
  • Participate in quality meetings and provides the necessary support to APQP activities.
  • Work on problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Exercise judgement within general defined practices and policies to determine appropriate action and to solve a variety of problems.
  • Analyze nonconforming reports, returned product and recommends corrective action. Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action activities to permanently eliminate defects.
  • Utilize 8D and other problem solving methods and non-conformances.
  • Implement methods of procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products.
  • Maintain “Warranty Programs” with customers.
  • Liaise as a supplier quality representative for customers’ plants.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to occasionally travel to customer sites, domestic, and international.
  • Required to lift and carry up to 45 lbs
  • This position is required to do extensive walking through production areas and warehouses

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four year college degree in desired or related field
  • Minimum of three years of quality assurance/control, manufacturing, or engineering
  • Knowledge of drawings, technical specifications, and paint coatings are essential
  • Automotive Experience-- Aluminum Wheels & Trim a plus
