Dispensary Assistant Manager

Glenrio Smoke Stop is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our new dispensary and consumption lounge in Glenrio New Mexico.

Glenrio Smoke Stop aims to make the world a better place through a focus on community, respect for people and the planet, and a belief in the power of cannabis to transform lives. Located on the border of New Mexico and Texas, Glenrio is a ghost town on historic Route 66 and will be undergoing various stages of revitalization to provide art and music events, a restaurant, and overnight accommodations while preserving the history and original architecture of the area. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in opening and closing the retail store, helping train employees, assisting in inventory management and ordering, and helping to ensure operations are running smoothly and in compliance with New Mexico regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Expected to open/close and flexible schedule
• Be on time for shifts and breaks
• Cleaning, organizing, visual merchandising, stocking, product handling
• Checking for quality control
• Cash handling and accountability
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player mentality
• Product knowledge and NM cannabis state rules and regulations
• Assist the General Manager with employee schedules and assist with managing employee work hours and vacation requests
• Assist with training of all new employees as well as the re-training of existing employees when needed
• Motivate and work together with employees to meet and exceed sales goals
• Accurately perform daily inventory management in Biotrack and Dutchie POS system, tracking active product and back-stock, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained and assist in ordering products to replenish stock
• Promote a work environment that is positive, customer focused oriented, and compliant with established company policies and procedures
• Support the General Manager by monitoring the activities of the store employees to maximize efficiency, minimize errors and respond to customer’s needs in a timely fashion
• Accountable for accurately monitoring and reporting sales, transfers, inventory in Dutchie POS system and Biotrack
• Assist in managing compliance regulations set by the New Mexico Cannabis Control Division
• Assist State and Local Government auditors, Inspectors and Law Enforcement with inventory, sales and compliance audits
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager
• Directly supervise budtenders and receptionists

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent, associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Google Workplace
• Must already possess or be able to pass exam to receive a New Mexico Food Handler’s Permit upon hiring
• 2-3 Year Customer Service experience
• Basic math skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Point of Sale experience in similar or related industry
• Must be willing to submit to a background check
• Can be Texas resident, New Mexico residency is not required

PREFERRED SKILLS

• 2 years prior Medical Marijuana or Adult Use Cannabis industry experience
• Prior Management experience in retail or hospitality industry

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work 7 days per week including holidays, days, nights, and weekends
• Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
