Glendora Employment Agency, Inc. specializes in bringing local job seekers together with local employers. We are currently seeking a Temporary Executive Assistant for a client in the San Dimas area.

Job Description:

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Under general supervision, and acting on own initiative, perform administrative duties to relieve and assist executives; assignments generally involve work of a confidential nature
  • Responsible for producing high-quality written correspondence, preparing agenda for quarterly staff meetings, and taking minutes at various meetings
  • Tactfully answer calls by handling inquiries and/or transferring the call to appropriate party, taking messages when necessary with courtesy and efficiency
  • Prepare information for the monthly Board of Directors Meeting
  • Keep track of, and assist in, the scheduling of time and appointments for the Interim CEO
  • Assemble information for reports, agendas, correspondence and memoranda
  • Type material in final form from very rough and involved drafts
  • Operate general office equipment such as PC, copier, fax or other similar machines
  • Assist in making reservations for meetings and luncheons, and assist President/CEO in preparing for the Annual Meeting
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:

  • Minimum five years of prior related administrative experience required
  • Minimum three years of prior experience working as an executive assistant to a Board of Directors preferred
  • Knowledge of word processing (Word preferred) and spreadsheets (Excel preferred)
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Initiative to be a self-starter; resourcefulness to make decisions when dealing with people
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, and deal effectively with multiple tasks and interruptions
  • Analytical and interpretive skills for problem solving
  • Good telephone, oral and written communication skills
  • Accurate typing at 80 wpm, and ability to lift up to 15 lbs
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality; regular attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work as part of a team; professional appearance and English literacy

Position is Temporary, 3 – 6 Months

Shift is Monday – Friday, 8am to 6pm (Flexible 40 hours/week)

Salary is $22/hour
