Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: As an Automotive Glass Installer/Technician, you will use a small array of power or hand tools to repair/replace windshields and/or various other windows and mirrors in a wide variety of vehicles at locations requested by the customer. Varying work hours, Mon-Fri, some overtime may be required. Workshop environment, with moderate physical requirements: long periods of standing on your feet, lifting up to 25 pounds to chest level, bending, twisting, grabbing, and reaching.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicles for damage prior to performing any type of work on the vehicle
  • Inspect all new glass for any imperfections prior to performing any type of work on the vehicle
  • Use of proper techniques to remove damaged glass without causing additional damage to vehicle
  • Use of proper techniques to install new glass to the GOWCW standard.
  • Handle glass in an expert and safe manner
  • Perform work in shop setting or at customer location. May require driving company vehicles.
  • Effectively communicate with customers
  • Continuous thinking and sharing of ideas to improve GOWCW
  • Other duties as assigned by manager 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age (required)
  • High School Diploma/GED (required)
  • Work Authorization for United States (required)
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record (required)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and management
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Represents self and GOWCW in a professional manner
  • Demonstrates a commitment of high-quality service to internal and external customers
  • Attentive to detail and has the physical strength and dexterity required to work with large pieces of auto glass.
  • Time management skills are also imperative for this position.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

·        Must be able to frequently lift over 25 pounds

·        Requires motion entailing bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists. 

·        Automotive repair background, a plus.

  • Prior glass installation experience, a plus.
