Reporting to Deputy Director, Remote Anywhere in US 

Founded in 2005, Give an Hour® is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming mental health by building strong and healthy individuals and communities. We provide no-cost counseling through a network of volunteer mental health professionals and empower community through collaborative programs, peer support and educational opportunities that benefit both clients and providers. Our efforts focus on people impacted by military service, mass violence, the opioid epidemic, and interpersonal violence. 


Our mission is to develop resilient individuals and communities and grow our social impact through responsive, scalable, and individualized mental health programs aimed at closing access and delivery gaps. 


Program Managers are responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and daily management of Give an Hour’s services. Initial programs within scope will address interpersonal violence, which is defined as the intentional use of physical force or power against a person or group of people by an individual or small group of individuals. The people involved do not need to be in an intimate relationship and the violent act can be physical, sexual or psychological. While remaining aligned with strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization, this team member will advance this work by cultivating partnerships in the community; creating and implementing trainings for mental health professionals; coordinating support groups serving this population (victims of interpersonal violence as defined in specific grant projects); and managing the client referral and placement process. In addition, this position engages in data collection and analysis to inform and improve services.  


Duties & Responsibilities 


  • Collaborate with Give an Hour staff and outside partners to meet program objectives and goals 
  • Compile and analyze data to produce routine and non-routine reports, presentations, and communications  
  • Oversee and track budget expenditures within allotment, advises Deputy Director of issues   
  • Assist with establishing and cultivating local and national partner relationships 
  • Oversee program changes and communicate issues, challenges, updates with supervisor and funder 
  • Collaborate with Communications team for marketing of programming
  • Receive referral requests from potential Give an Hour clients in need of therapy/clinical navigation and perform matching and placement process with licensed mental health provider in Give an Hour network 
  • Track all referral requests including status and outcomes using predetermined tracking systems 
  • Monitor and manage data collection, service evaluation and feedback from clients and providers 
  • Recruit new volunteer mental health providers, support group participants, and cohort of peer supporters 
  • Develop, organize, and implement educational opportunities for licensed mental health professionals, including CEU delivery 
  • Educate the community by leading formal presentations/trainings and educational groups 
  • Responds to emails in a timely and professional manner 
  • Attend, participate, and contribute to regular staff calls  
  • Assist Deputy Director with resolution of problems 
  • Participate in professional development and growth activities, including goal setting and performance evaluation 
  • Other duties as assigned 


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 

  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams), Salesforce, Smartsheet, Canva, or other comparable software 
  • Experience with leading training and education programs for working adults  
  • Knowledgeable in program development and management 
  • Prior experience and/or enthusiasm for learning data collection, landscape analysis, and use of quantitative/qualitative data for ongoing continuous improvement 
  • Experienced in working with diverse individuals and groups 
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and deadlines, and ability to prioritize and multi-task 
  • Understanding of virtual office practices and procedures and ability to work in a virtual environment with minimal supervision, prior experience is preferred 
  • Ability to effectively work independently and contribute as a team in a collaborative environment 
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining composure and professionalism 
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality on all levels and at all times 
  • Ability to empathize with client/program participants but maintain healthy/appropriate boundaries 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to compose correspondence with a high degree of professionalism including timeliness, punctuation, spelling and grammar 


Position Requirements 


  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a mental health related field, or equitable work experience is required. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management or coordination. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform essential duties will be considered.  
  • Population-based competencies to include survivors of interpersonal violence and/or ability to acquire such competencies. 
  • Lived experience with interpersonal violence strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Elements 


  • This is a remote position anywhere in the United States; FT Daytime availability is required in East Coast hours.  
  • This team member reports to the Deputy Director
