Customer Support Engineer

We're looking for an ambitious Customer Support Engineer to join the GitKraken team. The ideal candidate will be an adaptable problem solver with a drive to learn new things. The Customer Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all of our users are set up to succeed!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quickly and succinctly answer customer questions via email ticketing system, phone call, chat conversation, screen sharing, and other mediums as needed.
  • Maintain queues of incoming tickets for multiple different products.
  • Create and maintain feature requests for our applications both internally and customer-facing.
  • Identify, test, and submit bug reports to our quality assurance department.
  • Coordinate with sales, success, and marketing teams on daily tasks and long-term projects.
  • Create customer-facing documentation, blogs, and videos.
  • Maintain quick and effective communication with customers, resulting in a high level of positive customer feedback.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues with customers, teammates, and on your own.
  • Communicate with other teams and elevate advanced customer issues as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with a highly technical audience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Wonderful people skills both when interacting with customers and working with team members.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing support landscape with new tools and technologies.

Related Work Experience:

  • Prior experience in a Customer Support role, preferably with SaaS-based platforms/solutions.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems, CRM systems, or help desks.
  • Experience with programming, git, agile development, or working with a software team.
  • Programming, IT, or otherwise technical background is a huge plus.
