The Business Analyst (BA) plays a key role in providing application analysis and support to business users, focusing primarily on Accounting, Sales, Distribution and Manufacturing processes. The BA will be responsible to define the best practices for information systems utilization in these areas. The BA will plan, develop, and implement new applications that integrate people, processes and technologies to enable efficient business operations.
Primary responsibility for supporting JDE ERP system. This involves supporting Accounting, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Planning, Sales, and Distribution functions.
Responsible for supporting all other enterprise level applications such as SAP IBP, Atlas, DevEx etc.
Responsible as a key resource in cross-functional projects to develop and implement new applications for the business functions mentioned above.
Analyze user requirements, prepare requirements document, as-is & to-be processes and identify gaps.
Design processes to meet requirements, prepare functional specifications.
Prepare test plans, conduct testing validation, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Communicate application and project status and vision to stakeholders in a timely manner.
Work with external consultants.
Ensure delivered IT solutions meet or exceed customer's expectations.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of ERP application issues.
Develop analytical reports and ad-hoc reporting.
Assist with documenting ERP applications, data integration, and support procedures.
Perform other duties as needed to support enterprise applications.
Experience with supporting, administering, designing and implementing solutions in JD Edwards Accounting, MFG, Planning, and Distribution applications/modules such as Sales Order Management, Forecasting, MRP, CRP, Shop Floor, Product Costing, Manufacturing Accounting, Demand Flow Manufacturing, Procurement, Inventory.
Nice to have SAP IBP experience.
Experience with implementation and functional capabilities of the software applications typically used in those processes; for example, Supply planning, trade promotion management applications, financial planning applications, invoice approval applications, payroll applications, and inventory management applications.
Experience with understanding business requirements and collaborating in finding technical solutions.
Proficient in writing requirements document, functional specifications and preparing business process flows
Ability to apply analysis and creative thinking when solving problems.
Experience with identifying and implementing process improvements.
Experience with reporting tools, creating ad-hoc reports, and writing SQL queries.
Familiar with Software Lifecycle Management (SDLC), Change Management, and agile methodology.
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, prioritize requests, and work independently.
Able to communicate effectively with both business partners and IT professionals.
Able to effectively collaborate cross-functionally at varying levels in the organization
