This is a full-time, hybrid role with our office in Greenville, SC. This position does require 3 days in the office and 2 days that can be completed remotely from home.
Who We Are Looking For:
Responsible for directing the accounting functions by establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Provide timely, relevant, and accurate information regarding the company's financial results. Ensure the quality and integrity of the internal control system and that the company complies with legal and fiscal standards.

Position Qualification Requirements:
Education/Experiences:
• College graduate with a B.A, or B.S. degree in accounting or business, with an emphasis in accounting
• Seven or more years of accounting experience with strong analytical skills
• Working-level experience in Excel, SAP, and Microsoft Word.
Skills and Abilities:
Which may be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detailed-oriented and organized.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Positive relationships with internal and external customers. i.e., managing directors, internal auditors, insurance brokers, external CPA firm/auditors
• Computer knowledge - proficient in current office applications
• MBA or CPA is strongly preferred but not required.

What You'll Do:
- Responsible for preparing monthly and year-end financial statements in a timely manner in accordance with GAAP and management requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that all entries to the general ledger are processed promptly and accurately in a timely matter.
- Responsible for compilation of annual operating budget and financial forecasts as required by management.
- Responsible for maintaining corporate, franchise and sales tax compliance. Assist outside accountants and service providers with preparation of all tax filings.
- Work with all auditors - internal, external, bank, tax, etc., to ensure audits are completed efficiently, effectively and on time.
- Interact with all levels of management in evaluating business activities to ensure financial results are achieved or exceeded. Provide analysis and assistance to management in formulating strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Responsible for ensuring payments to vendors are accurate and timely.
- Responsible for maintaining adequate A/R and inventory reserves.
- Reviews and analyses royalty reports and ensures compliance with established processes and procedures and requirements of licensor agreements.
- Work with CFO on ensuring proper insurance coverage.
- Responsible for hiring, training, and development of Finance department staff.
