Applicants must have a Ph.D. or will have completed all requirements for a PhD in Geography or an allied field by the date of appointment. Applicants must have a specialty in Human Geography with expertise and teaching experience in political, economic or cultural geography, and have a background in quantitative and/or mixed methods. Applicants must have experience using mixed/integrative methods (both quantitative and qualitative) to research key human geography issues including, but not limited to: economic development and inequality, social difference, human-environment interactions, political ecology, society and technology, migration and displacement, informality or social movements.

Position Description Summary: The Department of Geography is committed to research that focuses on the most critical issues of the 21st century in order to advance a more sustainable and equitable future. Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Geography at the rank of Assistant Professor with a specialty in Human Geography.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to specialty courses within the scholar's area of expertise, this hire would teach courses such as: Introduction to Human Geography, World Regional Geography, Economic Geography, Political Geography and Methods.
