GMB is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Sparks, MD. This is an entry level position with excellent career advancement potential for a self-motivated individual.
The position is responsible for general office administration including (but not limited to) sorting and routing mail, preparing correspondence, entering data, editing documents, answering phones, ordering office supplies, managing vendors, and maintaining project files.
Other duties may include assigning contract and project numbers, updating master contact list, preparing marketing materials, updating office calendars, and maintaining office equipment. Will also provide support to Project Coordinators to ensure effective and efficient project implementation.
Must be proficient in MS software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Projects) and Adobe Professional. Must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of business etiquette, ability to multi-task and prioritize, and attention to detail.
Preference will be given to candidates with an associate degree in Business Administration or Management (or equivalent training) and 3 - 5 years of related
experience.
Previous office administration experience is preferred. Familiarity with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is a plus.
