What You Will Do
As an Indirect Materials Buyer/Planner working for GSI, you will be a key player in allowing the organization to quickly react to changing customer needs in an emergency and fast paced geotechnical environment. This role will interact with internal stakeholders in order to understand business needs and effectively communicate and forecast those needs to the service provider base. The role will be responsible communicating directly with service providers, while also executing essential day to day activities such as placing purchase orders, scheduling service deliveries, and ensuring all required services are available for execution of jobs as well as obtaining quotations as needed for estimation of future jobs.When GSI hires you, we believe we are hiring the next leader and everything we do is about setting you up to be personally and professionally successful. Responsibilities

How You Will Make a Difference
+ Review regional job schedules and confirm material requirements for timely execution of scheduled and potential jobs
+ Coordinate indirect material purchases and delivery to job sites
+ Coordinate with 3rdParty Vendors to schedule on-time delivery of sanitary services, traffic control, utility markings and any other indirect needs of the project.
+ Review schedule changes and quickly communicate schedule changes to supply base and internal stakeholders
+ Maintain inventory level of materials to support operations
+ React to emergency jobs and ensure timely supply of materials to job sites
+ Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Regional Directors and Production General Superintendents to ensure projects begin on time.

Qualifications

What You Need to Bring
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain, or a directly related field with minimum 2 years' experience in a procurement support function
+ Familiarity with Lean Principles, Max/Min Inventory, Supplier Scheduling and Planning
+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a collaborative results-oriented team environment.
+ Personal and professional values and goals aligned with company values and culture including a demonstrated passion for the business and customers.
+ Experienced Microsoft Office user with high level efficiencies in Microsoft Excel
+ Experience in Viewpoint is beneficial
