Gentis Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in Information Technology application support, vendor management, operations management, operation/customer service environment, project management, and/or technical leadership role is required.
  • Preferred candidate would have the following: knowledge of Agile, API, data analytics, SQL queries, application requirements documentation.
  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
  • Organization & Time Management - planning, scheduling and organizing schedule to complete actions within established deadlines, handling multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Communication - Ability to make effective presentations of information and materials. Listening carefully, confirming information and asking thoughtful follow up questions.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to manage constructively through difficult conversations.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving & Decision Making - uses data and facts to solve problems and make sound decisions.
  • Demonstrates ability to derive the "so what" and practical application to the business.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to wear multiple "hats".
  • Demonstrates understanding of Internet based products and applications.
  • Ability to work with a minimal to no amount of supervision

Position Duties:
  • Functions as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned platform(s) and/or processes.
  • Serves as trusted advisor for quality and accuracy of communication to the Client Relations team as requested.
  • Facilitates training of internal groups as needed related to platform and related application functionality.
  • May have primary responsibility for end to end production defect process including but not limited to triage/validation, submittal, follow up and follow through, closure/validation of fix once deployed.
  • Participates in front-line event/incident management as needed to provide application functionality insights and expertise.
  • Participates in vendor and client scheduled meetings as well as ad-hoc communications to provide application functionality insights and expertise.
  • Provides inputs to contract renewal/negotiation as requested.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance operational management, documentation, etc., and communicates such to management and implements upon approval.
  • May serve as primary contact for company wide domain name management.
  • Acts as supporting liaison/relationship manager with clients to receive feedback on process and progress as identified.
  • Participates in Change Management process and provides analysis for changes as needed.
  • Leads and/or supports the creation of business requirements and other related documents for projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
  • Supports project requirements and business needs and assesses accuracy as needed.
  • Presents and articulates solutions to stakeholders and others while interfacing with technical resources, business owners, end users, and management.
  • Supports the facilitation and/or build, and maintenance of documentation for operational projects/releases assigned including project plans, project estimates, issue/risk logs, business requirements, testing and deployment plans, and security validations as needed.
  • Proactively identifies issues that may impact a project or project deliverables, specific to application functionality changes, and communicate such to the PMO for tracking and resolution.
  • Assists testing team with triage and validation of project/release-based defects.
  • Assists testing team with test scope and validation as needed.
  • Analyzes and interprets information to support decision making.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance operational project/release management capabilities, documentation, etc. and communicates such to management, and implements upon approval.
  • May review, approve, and socialize the functional artifacts per each release.
  • May participate in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance outages.
  • Reviews and evaluates information, analysis, and reports pertaining to assigned platform(s), and provides feedback as requested when application expertise is required.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance our knowledge base and reporting capabilities by the proactive review of platform changes and creation of reporting backlog item to address the needed reporting enhancement.
