MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

•Currently enrolled in a B.S. in Industrial Design program 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

•Experience with Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) 

•Experience with Solidworks

•Experience with sketching and creating prototypes 



ABOUT THE JOB!

Gentex Corporation is currently seeking an Industrial Design intern for the Fall 2019 semester.  Our internship program allows students the opportunity to obtain valuable, applicable work experience in a fast-paced, and challenging environment.  The design Intern will focus on assisting full time designers create 3D models and physical prototypes. Hourly rate for interns is $15.00 per hour.  


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•Sketching

•3D modeling

•Model making, casting

•Laser cutting

•Painting

•Sewing/soft goods

•Composite layup 

•3D printing

LOCATION:

Gentex’s Boston facility is located in the Seaport District in South Boston.  The Seaport District is a redeveloped stretch of the waterfront lined with large, sleek restaurants, bars and hotels. Visitors and locals can relax at cafe tables on Fan Pier, along the Harborwalk. Next to the huge Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, the Lawn on D offers summer concerts and games like bocce and ping-pong.
