Job Description

Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking Quality Assurance Tester. Join our team and utilize both legacy and modern, open-source technologies to develop, deliver and support applications for our clients while leveraging concepts of Lean, Agile, Kanban and SAFe. Our clients are some of the world’s leading companies and the candidate will be a part of challenging projects to build and support technical solutions for their needs. Our client is looking to modernize and build integrated front-end and back-end enterprise solutions. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

The QA Tester is responsible for organizing, managing and leading the solution testing across all delivery teams. They define testing strategies to ensure standards are met and risks are managed. The QA Tester will also assist in process improvement across the solution delivery spectrum.  They will be responsible for the successful implementation of tools used to automate our client’s efforts. The QA Tester will also be responsible for the activities associated with tooling, automating and enabling continuous unit, system and integration testing for software development operations, as well as supporting frequent releases into the production environment.  They will be a key resource on the implementation of a Testing Framework. Other duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

 

  • Test Plan and Test Case Development
  • Support for Test Automation and Test Management tools
  • Application of human-centered design principles, such as those defined in ISO 9241-210, also including: Testing of wireframes, mock-ups or other prototype methods with real end users, in the field if possible
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Execution Activities
  • Load and Performance Testing
  • Independent Validation and Verification Services
  • Accessibility Testing (Sr level)
  • Review, understand and document business process flow documents as they relate to the client requirements
  • Testing CI/CD code development in a DevSecOps environment
  • Help create and implement an automated testing strategy across the Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Develop and communicate processes and materials to agile teams
  • Develop components and Transform them into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality scripts
  • Execute testing data management plan activities
  • Perform education and mentoring for quality assurance and testing
  • Seek and share ways to improve test processes via the use of automation
  • Assist in evaluating and maintaining automation tools, as necessary
  • Lead the QA Strategy as they relates to DevOps and Test Automation

RequirementsMinimum Qualifications/Experience: 
  • Health and Human Services, Public Sector, Federal or State and Local experience is preferred
  • Minimum of 6+ years of test automation experience
  • Experience in building test strategies and automated tests for DevSecOps and CI/CD solutions that includes cloud environments, front-end and UI/UX, Mini and Microservice development, APIs, and backend software applications.
  • Experience working in an Agile or SAFe environment
  • Develop and execute test scenarios (Both Manual and Automated), test cases and test scripts
  • Develop components and Transform them into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality scripts
  • Experience automating test scripts
  • Experience in test data management/optimization
  • Experience troubleshooting automation issues
  • Extensive experience in executing and developing end to end scenarios
  • Understands the Agile process and writing good User Acceptance Criteria
  • Review, understand and document business process flow documents as they relate to client functions
  • Use ALM for our test script/test result repository, automating tests, and for performance testing
  • Help create and implement an automated testing strategy across the Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Develop and communicate processes and materials to agile teams
  • Support a pilot program and implementation across the ART
  • Execute testing data management plan activities
  • Perform education and mentoring for quality assurance and testing

 

Minimum Education: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Required

  • SAFe, Agile certifications desired
