Position: On-Site, FTE Non-Exempt (Starting $18/HR) (Non-exempt)

Reports to OEM Manager

Job position summary:

General Tool is looking for a positive and professional Customer Service Representative to join our growing team in Irvine, CA. In this role, you’ll be our customer’s first point of contact, responsible for delivering a best-in-class customer support experience.

The Customer Service Representative role is responsible for supporting the staff and team by helping customers with complaints and questions, giving customers information about products and services, taking orders, and processing returns. This role offers a chance to get experience with the basics of the manufacturing field.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English (required)
    1. Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)
  • Experience with customer service – Minimum 2 years (required)
  • Basic computer skills: experience with PMIS/SAP (Preferred, not required)
  • Extremely detail-oriented and problem solver
  • Must be able to lift to 50lbs to carry products to customers
  • Need a reliable mode of transportation
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US
  • Minimum high school diploma (required)

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, pull or push up to 20lbs to carry products to customers.
  • Ability to work and sustain attention with distractions and/or interruptions.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with a variety of individuals including customers/clients.
  • Ability to deal with people under adverse circumstances.
