Financial Analyst

The Finance Analyst role is primarily responsible for supporting operations and support departments by identifying financial status through comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts. Guiding cost analysis processes by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions. Additionally, the role will include some capital management, accounting, and purchasing responsibilities.


  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial results, including operating performance trends, actual vs. forecast, key metrics, and journal entries.
  • Track expenses versus budget, analyze fluctuations and identify shortfalls and cost savings opportunities.
  • Lead monthly operational budget reviews
  • Work closely with the Finance Operations manager to manage and track costs and budgets regarding plant activity including fixed assets and capital improvements.
  • Participate in and drive the annual plan and estimate planning process.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and participate in cross-functional projects to support management.
  • Develop monthly standardized reports to drive efficiencies through dashboards, reports and templates.
  • Support Ops teams to understand key drivers of variances, risks and opportunities to financial plans and forecast.
  • Monitor and develop new performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
  • Track expenses versus budget, analyze fluctuations and identify shortfalls and cost savings opportunities.Assist in some purchasing activities
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 2-3 years related experience. 
  • Working knowledge of: SAP
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience building a zero-based budget
  • Demonstrated capability in critical thinking and analysis
  • Strong comfort level with pulling and analyzing data
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing operations
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
